ARTIST & SONGWRITER

April Anne is originally from Boston, MA but  has called Arizona home since 1990.

With her latest album she takes you back to her childhood home and opens up her world and memories to you in this very intimate album.

Focusing more on telling stories than love songs, this album is full of memories and stories about family members, some no longer with us, and others telling their story through song and actual sound bytes from them.  It also takes you on some of her adventures and travels

What’s interesting about this album is it isn’t about April  but the people and places.  Some being told from a third person perspective.

She is joined by Randall Downs, of Loser’s Way Home, on the album.  He added guitar and backing vocals to some songs and even his wife, Ashley, joins them on a track.

April has put her heart and soul into this album, more so than any other.  This was a project of healing and remembering and she excited to share it with everyone.

All I Have Left comes out worldwide October 20, 2018.  It will be available via all digital platforms and in physical CD form as well.

MUSIC REVIEWS

"I've been listening to your music in these last couple of days non stop, I played your music for my friends at a dinner party and everybody instantly loved it."- Dora (Jan 26, 2017)

"Was directed here by a friend, was not disappointed. A very refreshing sound."- Caroline (Dec 26, 2016)

““There’s something about this CD that seems to capture people’s imaginations just before it captures their hearts. Each of the songs on this album is its own story capsule. April Anne ’s vocals are distinct and astounding and all the tracks frolic through several styles, lending this CD a large dose of variety. It’s her voice that holds it all together, she’s on top form throughout the album, fleshing out every track with her beautiful vocals having written the whole thing by herself. ’Perfect as me’ is an introspective opener that slowly rises in force, improved greatly by April’s emotive vocals, “Phoenix” eerily vibrates with the dark sounds of the piano and are kept tight by the drums and the bright sound of the electric guitar that contrasts with the first part of the song. “Piano Strings” provides some heartfelt lyrics backed up by a minimalist piano ostinato. I highly recommend “Perfect As Me” If there were any justice in this world, this album would”  - Charlie Blacksmith, Spiritual Riot (Feb 02, 2015)

"Phoenix" Phoenix's piano-centric songstress April Anne has released a new single aptly titled "Phoenix". I think this track shows real progress from the artist. Her whole dynamic as a performer is shifting in more powerful directions with "Phoenix". Word has it a new album is underway so expect more singles to come. - YabYum, YabYum Music and Arts (Apr 07, 2014)

“Pulled the cd out of the mailbox this morning on my way to work... downloaded to my computer at work and spent the whole day listening to it... like 3 1/2 times dues to interruptions... You passed my test big time.... Thanks for sharing your gift of music”
- Sue Rasley, Musicians & Satellites (Nov 16, 2013)

“ April Anne "Piano Strings" Pianist and songwriter, April Anne released the provocative single "Piano Strings" just a couple weeks ago and marked the occasion with a show at Lawn Gnome Publishing. The location seemed particularly apropos given April Anne poetry-fueled lyrics a la Jewel. If the single isn't enough to fulfill your April Anne listening needs, check out her Reverbnation page for additional tracks.”  - YabYum, YabYum Music & Arts (May 01, 2013)

“April Anne is a Massachusetts, North Shore Native, transplanted to Arizona. April's haunting lyrics, and classical voice, along with astounding skills crushing ivory keys, combine to create an unique and unparalleled sound, that tease and draw in unsuspecting listeners. It leaves the soul, and eardrums, yearning for more. April's lyrics come from the deepest parts of the human soul, a place most of us never come in contact with. A place that only a hurt heart can understand such a beautiful sound.”
